Halo Infinite finds itself in a market dominated by live-service FPS battle royales such as Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone. It’s no surprise that the BR debate started as soon as it was announced that Halo Infinite multiplayer was free-to-play, however community feedback has been divided. This division of the community’s desires comes down to both the market the game finds itself in, and the legacy of its franchise already having plenty of unique and interesting ways to play....

This past week saw the launch of Halo Infinite’s first free event, Fracture: Tenrai, and player reaction was not too favorable. As mentioned, the aggravations of players stem from the rewards being offered, the event mostly being filled with player boosts and minimal cosmetics, and how players cannot even progress all the way through the event, as tiers are tied to challenges and only a handful of them were made available....

Signs that the honeymoon period between Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari is over have grown more imminent this year. When Vettel first arrived from Red Bull at Maranello in 2015, it was like a breath of fresh air for an ailing Ferrari team. The 28-year-old defenseman was acquired Saturday by the Bruins in a trade with the Ducks and subsequently signed to an eight-year, $52 million contract extension. Lindholm was set to be a free agent this offseason but instead, is locked in long-term with the Bruins. Ducks general manager Pat Verbeek tried to sign Lindholm before shopping him ahead of the deadline. Lindholm said on Sunday that while the Ducks offered more money, they did not want to give him eight years....

The Duck received a 2022 first-round pick, 2023 second-rounder and 2024 second rounder as well as young defenseman Urho Vaakanainen and veteran John Moore. Anaheim also is retaining 50% of Lindholm’s salary, which carries a $5.25 million cap hit this season. Boston also received AHLer Kodie Curran. The 28-year-old Lindholm skated in 61 games with Anaheim this season, registering five goals and 17 assists while adding 77 blocked shots and 55 hits....

The 22-year-old pulled up lame early in the second half at CenturyLink Field, limping off the field as he gave way to Will Bruin in the 61st minute. Seattle confirmed the injury was a hamstring strain, with the player set to be evaluated. Even a Grade 1 strain would likely see Morris sidelined for at least three weeks, making him a question mark for the Americans’ match against Panama on Oct....

The CDFW said on Thursday that DNA samples collected from the most recent incident in South Lake Tahoe Keys—a small town east of Sacramento—and others over the past several months proved that at least three bears broke into a number of homes, not one. Specifically, two major Xbox franchises are going to commemorate Pride Month 2022 with a selection of thematically-appropriate cosmetics: Forza and Halo. This should allow participating players themselves to show their support for LGBTQIA+ members of the community, and, in the case of Forza games, upgrade the players’ garages with an exotic new vehicle. While the story may be just as intricate, the multiplayer fun and addictive, and the universe interesting, the series itself has fallen into a cookie-cutter like formula. However, the newest Halo game has the chance to deliver on the promise of the original, and the name itself invokes said boundless opportunity. Halo: Infinite can be a true space exploration game. 343 Industries, the game’s developer, has confirmed that a Halo: Infinite reveal is on the way in July....
