Much like Splatoon 3’s Splatfests, the Big Run mode should arrive as an event every few months. The next Pokemon-themed Splatfest is supposed to arrive in mid-November, according to Nintendo, having players choose between the three different starter types. The lack of a Splatfest until next month has many fans wondering if events will be coming in time for Halloween, and if a Big Run event does come this month, it would perfectly fit the Halloween theme....

Perhaps the most notable thing about Halloween Kills was the ending, which left fans speculating on a new theory. Is Michael Myers, the murderous villain of the series, actually an immortal? David Gordon Green, the director of Halloween Kills, recently addressed this in an interview with IGN. While he believes Myers is capable of spectacular things, Green’s personal concept for the character is that he is not innately supernatural. Given the unmistakable mark of fear that Michael Myers has established over the past couple of decades, it makes sense why some people would think he has transcended mortality....

Halo 6 developer 343 Industries is hiring a Lead Graphics Engineer to work on “the next big Halo shooter experience” as well as other future Halo titles. This makes it likely that Halo 6 will have Xbox One X enhancements, which should come as no surprise since it is the next entry in Microsoft’s flagship franchise. As for when we will get an official announcement for Halo 6, that remains to be seen....

Even veteran Halo players may not know how to break through shields in Halo Infinite, due to the addition of new guns like the Shock Rifle. Dataminers have found evidence of a new Halo Infinite game mode called Last Spartan Standing. Apparently, the Halo Infinite Last Spartan Standing mode will essentially be a Free for All variant of Big Team Battle, where players are able to “level-up” their loadout. Some have taken this to mean that the mode will actually have more in common with Call of Duty’s Gun Game as opposed to a traditional battle royale, but that remains to be seen....

Halo Infinite lead narrative designer Aaron Linde has confirmed that he is leaving 343 Industries. Linde confirmed the news on social media, saying that he is leaving the company in order to “pursue a new opportunity in 2022,” though specifics on what exactly this opportunity is have not been revealed at the time of this writing. Linde spoke highly of his time at 343 Industries and described Halo Infinite as the best game he’s ever worked on....

The leaks show that Halo Infinite’s Forge will allow incomparably more complexity for users’ creations compared to even Halo 5, which provided a robust system for creating custom games. This added depth to the Forge custom game creation system stems from a new Node Graph menu feature that’s entirely new to Halo Infinite. Forge users will be able to use this Node Graph to create complex scripts for their Halo Infinite Forge creations via a graphical interface....

Halo Infinite’s campaign was met with a generally positive reception, but its fans are still waiting on its co-op aspect. The bulk of Halo Infinite criticism is centered on its multiplayer, and how 343 Industries has been managing it. Season 1 multiplayer has been going on for about six months since its beta launch. Schreiber will be joined by Yerin Ha, a newcomer who will be portraying a character named Quan Ah, invented for the TV show. According to Showtime, Quan Ah is “a shrewd, audacious 16-year-old from the Outer Colonies who meets Master Chief at a fateful time for them both.” Unfortunately for those looking forward to the show, Showtime didn’t reveal any additional Halo TV series casting details, so who will be playing important roles like Sergeant Avery Johnson or Cortana is still unclear at this point....

David Sapani from Penny Dreadful fame will be playing Jacob Keyes, one of the most brilliant tacticians in the UNSC Navy and commander of the Pillar of Autumn. Olive Gray (from Half Moon Investigations) has been cast as Dr. Miranda Keyes, his daughter and fellow commander in the UNSC Navy. Fans may remember that Miranda didn’t show up until Halo 2, after the demise of her father, so this will be the first time fans get to see their relationship together on screen....
