In an interesting turn of events, Halo Infinite seems to be sharing the same fate as another FPS that released at a similar time, Battlefield 2042. This is may be unexpected as EA allegedly blamed Battlefield 2042’s poor reception on Halo Infinite releasing around the same time. EA later refuted the statement, but it is certainly interesting to see that both games have experienced a significant drop-off in players....
In the Halo subreddit’s community weekly discussion thread today, 343 Industries Community Director Brian Jarrard updated the community on the whereabouts of new Halo Infinite information after the recent departure of the game’s director, Chris Lee. “Right now we’re still going through the huge cascade of implications and ramifications to the release shift and the team is heads down working through nearly every facet of the game,” he said....

Following this morning’s official confirmation of the game and its release window, franchise development director Frank O’Connor took to the Halo Waypoint blog to drop a few extra details. Before revealing the first concept art to the masses, O’Connor confirmed everyone’s suspicions that we will be hearing a lot more about Guardians at E3… The director went on to unveil the concept art, which appears to depict desert outpost. He didn’t offer any context or details about the art, except that the team is aiming to use Halo 5 as an opportunity to push both the ecosystem and the universe forward by innovating and amplifying ideas....
The latter is designed for the large-scale mode which features 24 players and lots of vehicle play. Infinite has a few standout maps just like previous games in the series, however, not every map can be a winner. Some maps work better than others for a certain game type. Some maps have a better flow than others. It’s qualities like these, and more, that separate the good maps from the bad ones in Halo Infinite....
Considering this game is supposedly 343 Industries’ most ambitious game to date, it makes sense if a delay is necessary to make the game as close to perfect as possible. This is Halo after all, Xbox’s flagship franchise since the original console back in 2001. If delaying Halo Infinite means making the game better for release, then Xbox Series X will just need to wait. There are plenty of potential improvements to expect from this delay and could theoretically be better for Halo Infinite’s release....
The audio file in question is very simple. It’s recorded by the iconic Jeff Steitzer, who does all of Halo’s multiplayer voicework, going back to the original Halo: Combat Evolved. The audio clip says “Battle Royale” and nothing more, but that’s enough for Halo fans to believe it could hint at something significant. A battle royale mode in Halo Infinite has not been announced, so the leaked clip could be the first firm evidence that 343 has a surprise left to announce....
