Jersey City Councilor Amy DeGise has faced calls to resign over the alleged July 19 hit-and-run in which she allegedly drove into a bicyclist who ran a red light. She left the scene and did not report the crash until six hours later, prompting some residents to question why she did not stop at the time and waited hours to go to the police. The crash was captured by CCTV footage reported by the Hudson County View, but De Gise has resisted calls to resign....

The shooting happened inside Octavia’s Event Center in Texarkana, Texas, on Saturday evening, the Texarkana Texas Police Department (TTPD) said in a statement. When the police arrived at the scene shortly before midnight, “they encountered a large number of people running from the building and several inside suffering from gunshot wounds.” The injured victims were transferred to Wadley Regional Medical Center and Christus St. Michael Hospital, but their wounds “do not currently appear to be life threatening,” according to the police....

Before starting work on the first movie in this Halloween trilogy, Green was actually planning to remake another classic horror film, Suspiria. In 2008, Green and production sound mixer, Chris Hubert, wrote a script for the film and Green was planning to direct it. Known by the name Warzone Firefight, it’s clear that this new update is going to be chock full of new content for players. Halo Infinite shocked many fans when it was revealed that not only would the Microsoft exclusive be coming to PC from day one, but also that it would feature an entirely free-to-play multiplayer mode. Without a paid barrier of entry, no doubt 343 predicted that this business model would open up Halo Infinite to new players, and broaden the game’s playerbase to reach a wider audience. Like other popular free-to-play titles such as Apex Legends, Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone, a zero cost entry fee often brings about a rise in players, as people can pick up the game with only their time and the storage on their console or PC to worry about....

In a new Halo Waypoint blog post, details regarding Competitive mode were unveiled for Halo Infinite. The developers noted that Competitive matches will feature the classic 3-burst Battle Rifle as the starting weapon. In addition, Competitive play, unlike causal games, will remove motion tracker, grenade hit markers, and secondary starting weapons while turning on friendly fire. Furthermore, they emphasized the skill of the player along with the decision-making of the team, noting that “we want to make sure the team that wins is the team that should win....

343 Industries recently released a new development update video on Halo Infinite, confirming that the game will be launching without campaign co-op or Forge. This will allow the developers to focus on getting the single-player and multiplayer components done in time. While some fans will be pleased to learn that this means they will still get to play Halo Infinite this year, others will be very disappointed at the lack of co-op....

One of these Halo Infinite bits and pieces seems to be the UH-144 Falcon rotor-copter, as a data miner has discovered what looks to be an extremely early rendition of the vehicle. While this doesn’t necessarily outright confirm that the Falcon dropship will eventually be a useable vehicle in the latest Halo game, the state of the model is very curious indeed. According to Dan Ayoub, Studio Head at 343 Industries, the new game mode is called Blitz and infuses cards and deck building into the tactical RTS gameplay. The new mode will be the focus of the upcoming beta session, which introduces the Proving Grounds, a symmetrical map featuring three control points both teams need to capture and hold. With no resource mining or base building to worry about, players instead create new units, attacks, and boosts by selecting from four on screen cards from a user created deck....

Further buzz revels that the Windows 10 interface will be based on Spartan and users will access Task switching as a tab. Going by how the company is naming its menu, we smell an Android inspiration but all we know now is that the icon will be of a hamburger and that the menu has been drawn up by Norm Cox. After a slew of great news, something that further excited us in this context is that Android and iOS application developers can easily port apps onto Windows 10 as well....

Hamilton was summoned to speak to stewards to explain a move late in the race, where he went to the pits and then aborted his move. Doll was brought in by Hannover on Sunday, a matter of hours after Breitenreiter’s departure was confirmed by the struggling Bundesliga side. A 5-1 thrashing at the hands of leaders Borussia Dortmund proved the final straw for Breitenreiter, with his side 17th in the league table. Doll arrives at Hannover on an 18-month deal and his long-term assistant Ralf Zumdick will be joining him at the HDI-Arena. “Thomas Doll has done a great job in all of his previous roles, proving time after time that he has achieved his goals - both in the fight for survival, as well as for titles and participation in international competition,” general manager Horst Heldt said in a statement....

The race will be hosted in the capital Hanoi, with the circuit set to be unveiled at a gala next week, the Hanoi People’s Committee said Thursday in an invite to the event. “The city of Hanoi managed to conclude the cooperation to be entitled as the official host of a race of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship (from) April 2020,” the letter read.
