Harley Quinn has been a bit of a cult hit since it first hit HBO Max with its creators likening it to a violent Mary Tyler Moore Show. The first two seasons on the network were hailed as a great animated comedy but it’s been on an extended hiatus due to some issues beyond its control thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. After the two-year layoff, it appears it’s almost back on the air.

The hit animated series starring Kaley Cuoco as the iconic Harley Quinn doesn’t have an official release date yet, but it does have a release month thanks to a new press release by HBO Max. The press release announced several other shows that will be arriving on the platform in July.
Some of those other shows and movies, such as Last Night In Soho do have an official release date of July 1. However, Harley Quinn, Genndy Tartokovsky’s Primal, Season 2 Premiere, and a Nikki Glaser Comedy Special are listed as not yet getting a release date. However, the release does make it clear that all three are coming sometime in July.
Harley Quinn has been getting more popular over the last few years and it appears as though HBO Max is trying to build up a little bit of excitement for the third season. It is noteworthy that the network is still not saying what day the show will officially launch, perhaps holding back for a bigger announcement in the coming days.
The end of Season 2 saw Harley and Poison Ivy heading out on what they called the “Eat, Bang, Kill Tour,” as the first official trip as a couple. The third season is expected to pick up where Season 2 left off with Commissioner Gordon chasing after them. The next installment is also set to introduce new characters with John Constantine, Mad Hatter, Clock King, Nightwing and Amanda Waller all confirmed to be appearing. At some point, Harley Quinn’s first spinoff, a standalone series starring Kite Man is expected to launch and that release date could be coming with the official announcement of Harley Quinn’s Season 3 premiere day.
