However, those of you who were hoping to design their own kick-ass jet-pack flying Spartans may be sad to hear that you can’t create your own load out, according to this week’s Bungie Update.

The inability to create your own class sucks, but at least you have an option to mix up your starting weapons and abilities a little; unlike all the other Halo games that just put you in the armor of an Elite or Spartan. The load out options will also vary based on which mode the player is on.

On top of all this news Bungie revealed a new ability called the “Armor Lock”. The new ability is a power up that makes your Spartan invincible for whatever amount of time you hold down the button, but the catch is that when this ability is going on you are rendered as immobile. Don’t worry though because with the “Armor Lock” you can “shed plasma grenades, shred vehicles unfortunate enough to attempt a splatter, and deflect projectiles (And you look pretty bad ass while you’re doing it.)”

You can check out the new ability right after the jump.

There is still a lot more to be revealed on Halo: Reach, so stay tuned to Game Rant for more news as soon as it becomes available.

Make sure to check out the Halo: Reach Player Investment System update.

Are you guys excited to hear more news about Reach, or will you stick with Team Fortress?
