It’s been over two years since Halo Infinite was first announced at E3 2018, but sadly there has not been much additional information regarding the game outside of the reveal trailer.

However, thanks to additional information provided by the members of the Real Deal Xbox Podcast, it seems more likely that Halo Infinite will deliver on everything the developers have been saying. They go on to describe Halo Infinite as a “juggernaut.” However, a rather interesting comparison was made during the podcast.
According to the host of the podcast, there appears to be a similarity between Halo Infinite and God of War, weirdly enough. The podcast host could not go into further detail, but it’s still a rather strange comparison to say the least. On the outset, God of War and Halo could not be more different in terms of both genre and gameplay
However, in a weird way, it does seem to be an apt comparison. When God of War for the PS4 was first released, it reinvented the entire franchise, broke boundaries, and innovated upon the games that came before it in nearly every aspect. Thus, it might be implied that Halo Infinite is set to succeed in the exact same regard as God of War.
Having said all this, fans would be right to take all of this information with a grain of salt. No matter how much Halo Infinite has been hyped up, Microsoft and 343 Industries have yet to show fans anything of substance regarding the game, to the point where fans are finding out information about the game vicariously through Funko Pops. All of this to say, fans should not be excited about the game through hearsay and faith alone. At some point, the game needs to speak for itself.
Halo Infinite is set to launch during the Holiday of 2020.
