However, this decline in popularity does not mean that everyone has abandoned the game. While the first-person shooter has had a rough go over the past couple of months, some gamers are still logging in on a consistent basis and pulling off some incredible plays in multiplayer matches in Halo Infinite in the process. For instance, one player recently showed off how powerful the Repulsor can be in the right situation

In a post on Reddit, a user known as Crespo2006 shared a video from a recent multiplayer match of Halo Infinite. The clip started with the Reddit user speeding towards an enemy on a Mongoose during a game of Slayer on the Launch Site map. However, just before reaching the adversary, they jumped off the vehicle. To their surprise, they realized that the enemy Spartan was wielding both a Rocket Launcher and Gravity Hammer, a lethal combination if there ever was one.

Knowing that they had to act fast in order to survive, Crespo2006 activated their Repulsor in front of the Mongoose they had just exited. The concussive blast from the armor ability caused the vehicle to catapult forward directly towards the enemy. Before the opposing Spartan had time to react, the Mongoose impacted them. The resulting explosion killed the enemy and gave a Crespo2006 a clip to remember for a long time.

This unexpected yet hilarious Repulsor kill pulled off by Crespo2006 piqued the interest of numerous members of the Halo community on Reddit. With over 3,100 upvotes in only a day, many were impressed with the heads-up play made by the player. “That dude got vaporized to oblivion, 10/10,” NaughtyDoggo said on Reddit. In addition, some commented that the encounter could have taken a much different turn if the player had not acted quickly. “That dude had a Spanker and a Grav hammer," ruggeddave pointed out, “He was probably feelin so invincible right up until he became pudding.”

While this clip might be one of the more spectacular uses of the Repulsor equipment, it is far from the only highlight shared by fans. Since Halo Infinite was released, many gamers have captured insane videos using the ability. For example, one gamer used the Repulsor on the Recharge map to launch multiple opponents off the edge and into a nearby abyss. In addition, the release of Season 2, Lone Wolves, is right around the corner, meaning that even more clips of players using Spartan equipment are likely to surface in the coming days.

Halo Infinite is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
