Posted to the sub-Reddit r/Halo, Reddit user u/ WickedSoldier991 discovered that, if the game is played offline on PC, players can see 14 different game mode lobbies that aren’t currently individually available for play in Halo Infinite. The modes can be selected and saved, however, they can’t be played online causing fans to think that the lobbies will be available for public play in an upcoming update sometime soon.

The 14 game modes that seem to be coming to Infinite are:
Arena: Attrition Arena: Attrition Dodgeball Arena: Elimination Fiesta: Attrition Fiesta: CTF Fiesta: One Flag CTF Fiesta: Strongholds Ranked: Elimination Ranked: One Flag Tactical: Slayer Tactical: Slayer Commandos Tactical: Slayer Manglers Tactical: Slayer Sidekicks Tactical: Slayer Stalker Rifles
Most of the game modes in the hidden files of Halo Infinite are pretty standard Halo affair, however, Attrition is a complete newcomer to the Halo series. According to PC Gamer, Attrition is the newest mode coming to Halo Infinite that gives players a limited number of respawns, and matches are won by taking out all of a team’s reinforcements. If those parameters are truly the rules for the mode, then Attrition Dodgeball seems like it could be one of Halo’s next big sports modes right next to Grifball.
According to 343 Industries’ John Junyszek, the team is working on adding specific playlists, but they won’t be ready for Halo Infinite’s campaign launch later this week on December 8. He does clarify that, hopefully, the modes will be available by the end of the month.
While 343 Industries is certainly open to feedback, the Halo community hasn’t been the most respectful of the studio resulting in the official Halo sub-Reddit being put in lockdown for several days. Hopefully, common ground can be soon found between 343 Industries and Halo’s community that doesn’t involve rampant death threats to developers or the bullying of the sub-Reddit’s moderators.
Halo Infinite is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
