Halo Infinite’s multiplayer launched in November of last year to the surprise of many fans. Infinite’s first season, Heroes of Reach, has been ongoing since launch and, at five months in length, is slated to be the longest season the game will have. Development for Season 2 has been chugging along while a myriad of technical issues still plagues Halo Infinite; however, fans may find some of their wishes granted in Season 2 of Big Team Battle.

One addition that fans have been clamoring for since launch is adding Jeff Steitzer’s voice to Big Team Battle. The iconic voice actor can be heard in each of Halo Infinite’s Arena game modes but has been notably absent from BTB. Halo simply isn’t the same for most fans when Steitzer isn’t calling out player-earned medals. Thankfully, Steitzer’s iconic voice is back in full force for BTB, starting with Season 2 when it launches on May 3. 343 Industries has also outlined the contents of incoming updates as they roll out through Season 2.

Halo Infinite’s Season 2 is gearing up to contain some of the most significant updates for the game so far. In addition to Jeff Steitzer’s voice, players can expect to see Breaker, a new map added to Big Team Battle, along with the addition of maps Catalyst and Attrition for the Arena game modes. On the PC side, 343 Industries has stated that they are working to fix various stability issues and have resolved numerous crashes—a step in the right direction toward fixing Halo Infinite’s multiple bugs.

There is a long way to go before 343’s full vision for Halo Infinite is complete. The game still lacks a Forge mode, and fans have been waiting for any news surrounding the co-op campaign. However, it appears that even the Halo Infinite devs are aware that fan patience is running dry. New content for the game has been released at a glacial pace, and fans are stating that there is too little content for long-term enjoyment. In any case, Season 2 of Halo Infinite appears to be a more robust update overall, not only adding Jeff Steitzer’s voice to Big Team Battle but also adding more maps and potentially resolving various technical issues. Season 1 is coming to a close, and perhaps Season 2 will see Halo Infinite start its journey in becoming a more fully realized version of itself.

Halo Infinite is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
