Among these side objectives are new enemies, known as High-Value Targets. These High-Value Targets serve as mini-boss-style encounters, and upon defeat provide players with unique and powerful weapons that can be used in future missions, as well as a decent amount of Valor. Valor allows players to call in requisitions in the game’s campaign, giving players access to vehicles, weapons, and companions to make their mission easier.

15 Duelist Energy Sword

The Duelist Energy Sword is a variant of Halo’s classic Energy Sword and allows the user to jump higher and move faster when equipped. The Duelist Energy Sword will be available for requisition after defeating the High-Value Target known as Okro ‘Vagaduun.

Okro ‘Vagaduun will likely be the first HVT that players will encounter, and can be found on the 1st Island just southwest of FOB Golf. ‘Vagaduun will use active camouflage during battle and can pose a real problem for players early in the game. Upgrading Master Chief’s equipment a bit before tackling this HVT is always a good idea, especially on higher-difficulty settings.

14 Unbound Plasma Pistol

The High-Value Target Briglard the Grunt will be the key to the Unbound Plasma Pistol. When this weapon is charged for a full attack, it will fire multiple projectiles, unlike the standard Plasma Pistol’s single-shot charged attack.

Briglard can be found on Zeta Halo’s 1st Island in the northern area where a bridge connects the 1st and 2nd Islands. Briglard is an easy HVT and can be found surrounded by fellow Grunts, posing an easy target for Master Chief.

13 Volatile Skewer

Ik ‘Novus wields the Volatile Skewer. The Skewer is already one of the best weapons in Halo Infinite’s campaign, and the Volatile Skewer is only more devastating. This unique weapon variant adds explosive damage to the Skewer’s projectiles, dealing massive damage to enemy vehicles.

Ik ‘Novus can be found to the west of FOB Echo shortly after players arrive on Island 2. Ik ‘Novus will have lots of armor, so it is a good idea to take him out from a distance. Being surrounded by smaller enemies also means players can get easily overwhelmed when running straight into this battle.

12 Riven Mangler

The Riven Mangler can be found on the High-Value Brute Target Balkarus. Instead of firing a single projectile like the standard Mangler, the Riven Mangler will fire three. This means that it will have a devastating effect on enemies if used with high accuracy.

Players can find Balkarus by traveling just north of the Forge of Teash. Balkarus will be in a large open area, meaning players can gain the upper hand in the battle by taking him out from a distance with long-range weapons.

11 Arcane Sentinel Beam

Thav ‘Sebarim will have the Arcane Sentinel Beam. The Arcane Sentinel Beam is very similar to its normal counterpart but will do a bit more damage to its opponents.

Thav ‘Sebarim can be found to the south of FOB Bravo. Thav is an easier target than most other HVT because he will be found in a vehicle. This means that players can go into the battle with a power weapon, like an M41 SPNKR or Skewer, and take ‘Sebarim out quickly. Players should be sure to take out the lackeys surrounding Thav as well to be sure the HVT is marked off.

10 Calcine Disruptor

The Calcine Disruptor is similar to a normal Disruptor but will do slightly increased damage. The Disruptor is used best in specific scenarios as its electric damage allows players to strategize against enemies with shields and high health. The Calcine Disruptor will be held by the HVT Bipbap.

Bipbap can be found on Island 2 just north of the Excavation Site. Bipbap will be surrounded by many enemies but is an easy target on his own. Taking out the surrounding enemies will yield the best results in this battle.

9 Rapidfire Pulse Carbine

The Rapidfire Pulse Carbine will be found with Inka ‘Saham, an Elite High-Value Target. The Rapidfire Pulse Carbine will fire at a higher rate than its normal variant, making it good to use against enemies with high health.

Inka ‘Saham can be found in the far northern section of Island 2. The closest fast-travel point is Outpost Tremonius, but players will still have to travel a bit to reach Inka. Inka is surrounded by a high number of enemies, so players should approach with caution.

8 Ravager Rebound

The Ravager Rebound is a great weapon and will bounce its projectiles off of surfaces when fired. Defeating the Brute High-Value Target named Arthoc will give players access to this weapon in the weapon stations.

Arthoc will be found on Island 4 to the west of FOB November. Arthoc’s Ravager can do high damage to players in a vehicle or players at a close distance, so firing from a distance is always advised when fighting him.

7 M41 Tracker

The M41 Tracker is a superb unique variant of the M41 SPNKR. Having the ability to track its targets, the M41 Tracker is an amazing weapon to use throughout the campaign and is useful in most situations. The M41 Tracker can be found with the HVT Zeretus.

RELATED: Halo: Explaining The History Of The Flood

Zeretus can be found to the northwest of FOB November at the eastern base of the mountain. Zeretus is one of the more difficult HVTs to take out due to his weapon’s tracking ability so approaching in a vehicle is risky.

6 Stalker Rifle Ultra

The Stalker Rifle Ultra will be used by the deadly sniper Barroth. This weapon will have a higher ammo capacity than normal Stalker Rifles and will also be slower to overheat, making it a great weapon for players that like to fight from a distance.

Barroth resides southeast of Riven Gate on Island 4. Approaching the fight in an airborne vehicle will give players the upper hand when fighting this HVT, but players should keep in mind that without cover, Barroth can do massive damage at a distance.

5 Purging Shock Rifle

The Purging Shock Rifle belongs to the Skimmer Alpha HVT and will do increased stun damage to enemies, making it slightly better than the standard version of the weapon. The normal Shock Rifle is a great weapon against enemies with high shield capacity, so the Purging Shock Rifle can come in handy.

The Skimmer Alpha can be found in a cave just to the north of FOB Juliet and will be surrounded by many other Skimmers. The Skimmer Alpha is an easy target on their own, but players should be sure to take out the surrounding enemies before charging in as it can be easy to get overwhelmed by the many electric weapons that the Skimmers use.

4 Backdraft Cindershot

The Backdraft Cindershot is a great gun that will lob three projectiles instead of the standard Cindershot’s single shot. The Backdraft Cindershot will be obtained after defeating the very dangerous Hunter pair known as Myriad.

Myriad can be found to the south of FOB Juliet and can be very difficult for players to take on. Upgrading equipment and taking well-equipped marines along into battle can help make this fight a bit easier.

3 Scatterbound Heatwave

Ordo ‘Mal will be the key to players obtaining the Scatterbound Heatwave. The Scatterbound Heatwave’s projectiles will bounce off of surfaces and can even track enemies fired at, making it much more reliable than the standard Heatwave weapon.

Ordo ‘Mal can be found just to the north of FOB Hotel. Ordo ‘Mal will be encountered in his vehicle, an armored Wraith. Players should approach with heavy weapons, ready to take out his vehicle. Snipers and enemies are surrounding Ordo so taking this HVT on with caution is best.

2 Rushdown Hammer

The Rushdown Hammer is an interesting unique weapon. It has similar perks to the other unique melee weapon, as it gives the user increased speed and jump height. The Rushdown Hammer can be found with the HVT En ‘Geddon.

En ‘Geddon should be approached with extreme caution, as he can pose a real threat to players with his melee weapon. Taking him on from a distance or using a vehicle will yield the best results in this battle.

1 Pinpoint Needler

The Pinpoint Needler is an exceptional variant of the classic Needler weapon. The Pinpoint Needler can target multiple enemies at once and has a much sharper targeting capability. The Pinpoint Needler is the weapon of choice for the HVT Writh Kul.

Writh Kul can be found on the lone mountain landmass on Zeta Halo’s 4th Island. Writh Kul can be easily taken on when players have the height advantage. Coming into battle from the mountains above this HVT will allow players to snipe enemies from above and take out targets quickly.

Halo Infinite was released on December 8th, 2021 and is available for the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
