As it happens, thesilencebroken decided to bring a taste of the environments from Bungie’s action-RPG into the world of Halo 5: Guardians by recreating the former game’s PvP map dubbed Widow’s Court. Of course, in order to do so, the would-be Spartan had to utilize Halo 5’s map editing and creation tool known as Forge Mode.

As seen in the video below courtesy of the YouTube channel Mitzz, thesilencebroken has done a stellar job at giving Destiny’s Widow’s Court the Halo 5 treatment, with almost every detail being comparable to the original. Naturally, however, since the PvP map is a recreation of the standard version — and in a completely different game to boot — the area for Crucible and Trials of Osiris lacks some of the polish of the original. To be specific, thesilencebroken’s remake of Widow’s Court is not to scale to the Destiny version, and the texture doesn’t flow throughout the game.

That’s not to say that thesilencebroken did a poor job on his take of Widow’s Court, though, for many will likely agree that it’s as close as can be to the source material. If Halo 5 fans want to experience the Forge Mode rendition of the Destiny area, they can do so by following the link right here and downloading the map.

Should thesilencebroken’s version of the Destiny PvP map not be one’s cup of tea, the Spartan has created numerous areas for Halo 5 using Forge Mode. As it happens, he’s made a large scale urban map called Crossfire, a small and asymmetrical map called Tesseract, and a remake of the famed Halo 2 map with Sanctuary. Plus, thesilencebroken has even remade another Destiny map by uploading his take on one of the game’s Crucible maps from its expansion The Dark Below with Pantheon.

Beyond thesilencebroken’s nod to Destiny in Halo 5, this isn’t the first time that a fan has used Forge Mode to reference another game franchise. In truth, there have been numerous examples of cross-over recreations, but one of the more popular builds with the level-creation tool is arguably players’ remake of Rocket League using Ghosts as vehicles. Taking all of this into consideration, this surely won’t be the last instance of fans using Halo 5 to pay homage to other gaming series.
